Untitled Delusion

Infinite possibilities,
each a facet of a precious gem as each casts its own
light into the dark void of understanding. Pale comparisons
are the hope against anger, love against despair yet
each are sought after with a sort of fanatic reverence.

Longing for one blissful touch of the embers that burn within the heart
of the fire. The warmth nothing but a shadow against the icy calm of
the human soul. Hidden storms of misunderstandings causing landslides
of cracked reasoning following the delusion of sanity.

Distant voices of peace echo in the minds farthest reach, while winds
of uncertainty collide with the thoughts of the future. Snow drifts of
honesty being washed away within the intensity of jealousy, envy, and a
rash religion that begs to be noticed.

In the aftermath of joy and sorrow, we yet always ask the questions as
to Why? And with all our trials, those we lost, yet gained, does this
question truly need to be answered.
