Not Me-Poetry-2

So many things,
I once felt and knew.
Ended when you said,
I don't love you.

Unable to breathe,
No longer wanting to live.
I gave you my heart,
Now I'm left with nothing to give.

Maybe one day,
You'll truly see.
We could have had something,
But you just don't love me.

You said you don't love me that way,
And still want to be friends.
But I don't know if I can handle,
Seeing you with other men.

No longer able to laugh,
At the things that were funny.
My days always dark,
Never again will they be sunny.

Once a young man,
But now I feel old.
A life filled with your warmth,
Now my days have grown cold.

No longer able,
To feel with my heart.
It's as if my emotions,
Have been picked apart.

God must be punishing me,
I've been judged for my sins.
So he locked me out of your heart,
And won't let me in.

Left alone,
To sulk in my pain.
Open wounds in my heart,
Letting the blood stain.

Alone in the dark,
With no one to help me see.
You could have anyone,
But you don't want me.

No longer alive,
Nor am I dead.
Wishing never to have loved at all,
But I fell in love instead.

This feels less like a poem and more like a song, because of the melody the rhyming gives to it. Think this could be improved. Slash out the rhymes and you'll have more words to work with. Good job otherwise.
