One line story

I saw somebody do this, it was awesome.
Here's the goal.
Each person posts a single sentance, it must tell a complete story, beginning, middle, end. It must make sense, and NO CHEATING.

Born a parapelegic: Dan was plagued even in his adulthood by self loathing, which inspired the depression that spiraled fatally downward into his eventual suicide.
Superman flew at Destro with impressive speed, tackling him out of view, and after what sounded like an epic struggle of good vs. evil climaxing in a supernova-like explosion of energy, Superman stepped into view, victorious.

Shy Earnest, with his nervous tick, who had spent years in Jeffrey's shadow at work, letting the more confident man take credit for his accomplishments and even his brilliant patent, felt proud but a bit guilty as he walked hand-in-hand with his beautiful new wife contemplating Jeffrey's recent demotion, divorce and ascent into mental illness.

What this has taught me about myself is that I have trouble coming up with plots, period, no matter how many sentences I have to express them in.
BTW, the word games are my favorite part of the site.

Jimmy the alien was born on the planet zuton, after his parents crashed into a moon he fell from the heavens, through the skies and crashed into a barn, where he made friends with a dog, who helped Jimmy take over the world and then he died of germs.

I have been here this long and never noticed this game; it looks like so much fun! Let me try. :]
A young girl - skeptical and cautious by nature - did not believe in supernatural instances until she visited an old, bankrupt, and abandoned church, was locked in, and had an awakening of which caused her to grow up to become a psychic, win the lottery, and donate all of her money to the old church of which she had first encountered; it now has a bowling alley, dance club, and movie theater, and is thriving well, though now without life-altering phenomenon, which greatly upset the now elder woman, who now questions her life's work and views on humanity.

Oh, allergies are the worst, I am forbidden to eat the best fruit of the world for when I do, I break into hives and throw up, sad world it is, when tomatoes are not allowed on you're plate.
