Greetings Inhabitants,

I'll be, along with the missus, taking a trek down to Disney World for the week.

If you feel so inclined, enjoy yourselves while I'm away, perhaps start up an impromptu contest?

There may be rewards for those who PM me of their good deeds regarding the habitation whilst I am absent.

Heck, let me suggest a few things you might surprise me with when I return:

New poetry!

New members!

Habitation signs out in the world! (Oh yea, I dare you, take pictures!)

Cool ...

Greetings!

And Salutations!

I have been quietly working to revitalize the Habitation, but we need our members back, and active.

To solve this problem, I'll be making a few changes.

For starters, your profiles have been updated to a new, more interactive and visually appealing version, I hope you like it. Alongside this change, I intend to bring a brand new writing contest, since we've been lacking in them for months!

Stay tuned. The Habitation will not flounder!

Love,

KRG

Okay.

So I've been absent, sure, It's a terrible crime.

But I'm keeping an eye on you folks, and I see a lot of stagnance.
This is my fault.

The solution?

Well, it's been a few months, lots of new friends can be made in a short time...
SO INVITE THEM HERE!

That's right, let's repopulate, revitalize, and rejuvenate our beloved hab.

And have fun with it.

Hey again,

I'm going to be gone for this week, and have chosen Abbas to fill my position until I return. Relate all questions, comments, and concerns to him until after the 30th. He has full Admin powers, and kind of knows how to use them.

When I return, I have a list of suggestions from various members which I will address promptly. I've already made adjustments to the font size on the main page, and am currently plotting reference links (Dictionary, Thesaurus, etc.) and a large-scale ...

Dear.. uhmm.. people,

I have, as some may know, been gone this week past. I will also be gone this coming week.

This, of course, means that The Habitation will be without it's owner for a few days.

Feel free to keep things going as if nothing is wrong, and if anything comes up, I'll be sure to address it the moment I return.

Until then, take care everyone, and happy holidays.

Howdy,

Good news all around, with the promise of updates to come, The Habitation's future is looking bright. Nelson would be proud of the hard work I'm sure. Actually, I think he'd be more "jolly". At any rate, the holidays are moving up fast, and I will be gone for a good week in December, during which time I will be looking to my global moderators to maintain the works.

Things to look forward to:

Greetings,

Today has brought only minor changes, once more.

Voting has begun on the third semi-monthly Habitation Contest.

Matt (Jadson) has leveled up. He's 21 as of today, and likely stumbling around aimlessly in a seedy part of town proving it.

Aside from that, we are strong still, and posessed of much vigor, the forums are more alive than ever, and with each new addition, our future grows brighter.

I am still on the lookout for new ideas, changes, and help for the ...

Hiya,

Not much has occured since the past news update.

I have slightly modified the Poetry section to make room for Haiku and Sonnet exclusive sections, and plan on beginning not only Contest #3 Voting this week, but also Picture Contest Voting.

Also, as soon as I catch Jadson, I plan on getting Picture Prompts up and running!

Stay tuned for more, I'm in a Fallout induced stupor these weeks past.

Love,

Hey there inhabitants.

This will be a short one.

For starters, another fond farewell to Nelson Jenkins (Neonpotato),

I miss the guy greatly, and can only imagine how distraught those

who knew him better than I must feel.

I dedicate the future of The Habitation to Nelson, without him we simply wouldn't be as far along as we are. He was dedicated to growth here, and always offering a hand when he could.

All of that aside, we trek onward, adventuring into the unknown with ...

Hey there Inhabitants, and visitors!

Not much planned for today, still working out some kinks in my plans, and goofing around with photoshop.

At any rate, the Picture Prompt will be starting soon, Jadson will be running that.

If anyone has other suggestions, PM me.

Also, I am now looking for the next Writer to be placed in The Writer's Spotlight. All members are encouraged to send me a private message with the name of the artist, and their piece that you believe to be spotlight ...

Hey there,

Not much has occured this weekend, hence the lack of news updates.

Still trying to get the word out.

In light of the obvious lack of traffic supplied by allowing ads on the site, I will be removing them after posting this. Feel free to use http://www.thehabitation.tk again.

Also, member DefyingGravitationalPulls wants everyone to check out the makeshift Habitation shop, because he wants a T-Shirt, and I won't buy him one.

Another quick update for the masses.

Neonpotato has recently taken up the mantle of Global Moderator, assisting the ever present Abuzzbuzz, and the perpetually absent JesterGesture..

Alongside those new responsibilities, he has taken charge of the writing prompt, a semi-weekly segment in which Mr. Nelson supplies a simple thought provoking, idea sparking bit of words that you, the writers, then write about. It seems fairly intriguing at this early stage.

Coming Soon:

Hey folks, you may have noticed the new frontpage for the forums.

I decided to spruce it up a bit, give it a little class!

Send me a private message and let me know how you like it, I'm constantly striving to improve your experience at The Habitation.

If this is your first time here, have a look around! I hope you like what you see!

Hey folks, just another quick update, I've added the writer's spotlight on the righthand side of the portal.

I chose Eh, for his stunning piece, but in the future I'll have to establish some sort of voting or nomination system for the spotlight.

If anybody is spectacular with HTML, let me know, I've been using the basic linebreak, italic, and bold tags, but I don't know much else.

I could build anything if I did
